Domicillary Services
We also offer an outreach service which is run from Burrow Down Cottages. This offers service users the opportunity to go out into the community with the support of a qualified member of staff.
A variety of activities can be arranged, such as a scenic walk, an outing to a social club or a game of bowling. Service users will be supported in their choice of activity or occupation.
Due to the nature of this service, there is no personal care involved. The service is designed to encourage people with learning disabilities to experience the community and gain the confidence to do things that they may not otherwise do.
Our Aims and Objectives
ACCORDs aims to provide care and support for people who cannot wholly look after themselves, in their own homes, at times convenient to them, and in ways they find most agreeable. We have sound principles for the way we run our service. Central to these is our belief that the rights of service users are paramount.
Our Statement of Purpose
This Service User`s Guide should be read in conjunction with our Statement of Purpose, which sets out:
Ø Our aims and objectives
Ø The nature of the services which we provide
Ø The names, addresses, qualifications and experience of the people who manage ACCORDs
Ø The range of qualifications of our care workers
Ø Our arrangements for handling complaints and suggestions.
